Isle of Skye Elopement Photographer
Sometimes, you just have to pinch yourself when things like this happen. this was my first time up to the Isle of Skye, never mind photographing up here. I’m very lucky to be able to travel around the world capturing love stories but Scotland always has a place in my heart.
Jessica & James wrote their vows together earlier in the day in Sligachan, a small settlement on Skye surrounded by the Cullin Mountains, more of that can be seen over on this page. The Isle of Skye is a place of all weathers, from hour to hour it can drastically change from on extreme to another, it simple adds to its character, you’ve always got to be prepared for whatever it may throw at you.
Later that afternoon in the glorious sun, we headed to The Eyrie, a little hidden gem of a place with uninterrupted coastal views of the surroundings to get ready with the wonderful April Sky on make up. Jessica & James took a short drive up to the Quiraing to be married by the wonderful humanist celebrant, Rona. A quick bottle of champagne to celebrate followed by a 50 minute hike up Old Man Storr for the last of the light.
Intimate days like this truly do hold my heart, capturing love stories like this is a magical feeling.Huge thanks to Becy at Belle Art Photography for the opportunity on this one!
